Sustainability

At Symbiome, we understand that in order to be truly sustainable, we must consume less. Through a deeper understanding of what our skin has lost, we’re able to focus only on what we need. Being intentional about our skincare regimen and basing our decisions on science takes out the guesswork so that we can avoid unnecessary ingredients and products.

Our commitment to respecting the natural world is a thread woven across all areas of our brand — from ingredients to packaging — and comes with an aspiration to continually improve our sustainability profile as new innovations become available.

Intentional Ingredients

We source our ingredients from an organic farm in Brazil that adheres to sustainable practices including regenerative farming and harvesting techniques, recycling, and low energy consumption. We use fewer ingredients from fewer sources, placing less pressure on our supply chain and reducing our overall carbon footprint.

Our less than 10 promise ensures that our products will always contain as few clean, organic, traceable, and sustainable ingredients as possible without sacrificing efficacy.

Minimal Processes

We formulate using supercharged ingredients rich in vitamins, nutrients, and other naturally existing beneficial compounds, so that little to nothing needs to be added or manufactured in a lab. Our oils are created through Postbiomic™ Fermentation, which utilizes a proprietary blend of microbes to break down the components found in our plant extracts, requiring lower temperatures to extract valuable nutrients — thus reducing energy costs. Our creams are the product of our BioIntact™ Emulsion, an innovative process that eliminates heat and the need to consume energy.
